Dominican Republic has got 4 international airports : Santo Domingo (SDQ), Puerto Plata (POP), Punta Cana (PUJ) and La Romana (LRM). All these airports have connections with the main town of Europe and America.

To come to Cabarete, the closest airport is Puerto Plata, at about 20 km from Cabarete.

Coming from Santo Domingo :

In Santo Domingo, you take the direction of Santiago de los Caballeros, passing by the Duarte Highway. The toll is 15 DOP. You follow the highway until Santiago during 160 km. You cross Santiago and go to Puerto Plata. In Puerto Plata, you take the direction of Sosua / Cabarete, about 45 km. Once you arrive in Cabarete, Cita del Sol Hotel will be in the main road on your right. If you get lost, don't hesitate to ask people your way, it will be a pleasure for them to teach you your way.

Coming from Samana :

Follow the direction to Nagua. Once in Nagua, cross the town and take the direction of Puerto Plata. You will cross Cabrera, Rio San Juan, Gaspar Hernandez, Sabaneta then you will finally arrive in Cabarete.

If you don't want to rent a car during your trip, you can easily move into the country using local coaches. They are several companies, equiped with good coaches with TV and air conditionned. To come to Cabarete, the easiest solution is to travel with Caribe Tours. They will take you to Sosua. Then you will have to take a cab to Cabarete.
