The village of Cabarete
evolved from a handful of cabañas (little houses)
to a European flavored little town after it was "discovered" by
windsurfers and turned into one of the world's top destination
for that sport due to it's steady eastern winds that blow
just offshore from the protected four-mile beach.
With
comfortable beach chairs for rent and food and drinks available
nearby, there is something for everyone on the beach of
Cabarete.
